Hello Korea

There’s something special about traveling to a country not as a tourist, but for work—meeting people, exchanging ideas, and watching a project take shape in an entirely new context. The experience is richer, more layered, and filled with unexpected connections.
Being in Korea last week for the opening of The New Cubans at Art Lumos Space was exactly that. After exhibitions in Montreal (Blouin Division), Havana, and Paris, it was incredibly meaningful to see the work resonate here—across cultures.
This journey also makes me look ahead with excitement to what’s coming next—Mexico City this fall.
Endless thanks to curator Jaehyun Seok and coordinator Yiso Cho for their generosity, dedication, and thoughtful guidance. I’m grateful for the warm welcome, the inspiring discussions, and—yes—the best Korean BBQ I’ve ever had!
